Meeting old students on our trips around the world

See you in Slovakia!

Last year Sean and Gate went to Slovakia to visit some old students and meet a whole lot of new ones. They played games and talked with over 200 students!

The trip turned out to be a bit more of an adventure than they expected, as a volcano in Iceland caused all the airports in Europe to close! Gate and Sean were left with no choice but to take a train through Austria, Germany, France and Belgium to arrive back in Oxford 52 hours later! Getting home was certainly a challenge but one that was well worth it as they had such a great time in Slovakia, speaking to hundreds of students (they even got interviewed on TV)!

Last week Gate returned to Slovakia with Flex (Bradfield 2008, 09, 10) and Thibault (Harrow, Bradfield, Cranbrook, Pembury 2007, 08, 09, 10) who have been teaching at Pilgrims for many years so had lots to say to the students about their Pilgrims adventures. They were delighted to see lots of familiar faces and some new ones too!  They sang, they danced and they taught the students many more words and phrases.
